Jeremy M. Plenzler

Mr. Plenzler’s practice is primarily directed to patent preparation, prosecution and claim construction for a diverse range of mechanical and electromechanical technologies. He is involved in conducting searches and drafting legal opinions for product clearance and patent validity studies.
 

Mr. Plenzler has significant experience in patent preparation and prosecution. His prosecution experience includes significant involvement in the patent appeal process including successfully conducting Oral Arguments before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Mr. Plenzler also routinely conducts patentability searches and drafts opinions on patentability.
 

Prior to his career in intellectual property law, Mr. Plenzler was a Senior Project Engineer at General Motors, where he worked in simulation and analysis of mechanical systems. While an engineer, he was awarded several patents and co-authored an SAE paper. During law school, Mr. Plenzler worked as a Patent Agent at Harness, Dickey and Pierce, assisting in preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
