John R. Dawson
Professional Experience
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Dawson worked as a senior propulsion engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplane Company for six years, where his work included designing and developing hardware and software improvements for the 737 and 757 airplane engine components.
Following law school, Mr. Dawson worked in a large Seattle law firm defending airlines in aviation-related accident litigation. Since 1995, he has worked exclusively in the patent prosecution field, where his work has focused on US and PCT patent application drafting, prosecution and licensing, trademark preparation and prosecution, and preparation of non-infringement and right-to-manufacture opinions. Mr. Dawson has also taught patent drafting classes to newly admitted patent attorneys.
