Michael J. Thomas

Professional Experience

Mr. Thomas' practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, rendering patent non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and drafting intellectual property agreements. He has considerable experience in state and federal court litigation and administrative proceedings involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement. Mr. Thomas also devotes a considerable share of his practice to counseling clients in a broad range of intellectual property matters including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, antitrust and cyberpiracy law.
 

Mr. Thomas prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications in the fields of electric power generation and conversion, electric motors and controls, electronic circuits, telecommunications, medical devices, computer software and systems, and various methods of doing business. 

Before attending law school, he designed and tested electronic circuits for a leading defense contractor.
