HDP Hosts St. Louis Event
April 7, 2011, St. Louis, MO-Harness Dickey is pleased to be sponsoring The Sports Industry and Law Symposium at St. Louis University’s John Cook School of Business. The symposium commemorates the Sports Business program at the John Cook’s School of Business and formally unveils the Alliance for Sports Business, which is a coalition among AACSB accredited business schools with sports programs.
Insights will be given by the industry’s top business operation executives from four major leagues, the NCAA, and general counsel colleagues from each sports industry sector. Speakers intend to showcase how sports business academic programs impact and prepare future managers in the industry. Key note speakers include the President of the St. Louis Cardinals, Bill Dewitt and President of New Meadowlands Stadium, Mark Lamping.
There will also be CLE (Continuing Legal Education) credits available to U.S. State Bar Associations’ licensed attorneys. The CLE portion will cover several key aspects of contemporary legal practice in sports settings including: collective bargaining, negotiations, intellectual property, licensing and litigation.
