Rugous – the Right Word for the Right Shape

Today’s word, rugous (also rugose)  is a new wrinkle on accurately describing an invention, and means something having many wrinkles or creases; ridged or wrinkled see e.g. U.S. Patent No. 7,997,287.

 

U.S. Patent No. 7,997,287 shows a rugous surface 22 for cleaning the tongue.
