Harness Dickey is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming 2016 Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) Education Foundation IP Video Contest. The contest asks entrants to explore the importance of the patent system in a 90 second video. Providing intellectual property services and asset management since its founding in 1921, Harness Dickey is excited to take part in the contest and encourage a younger generation to become interested in the legal and business facets of intellectual property.
Qualified entries were posted online in August for public voting with the intent that a winner will be announced by October 1. A Foundation Awards Dinner will take place in Washington, DC on December 6 to formally congratulate the winners and award them cash prizes and scholarships for the best video from each of three age groups: 13-15 years-old, 16-18 years-old, and 19 and over. While in the District, winners will also have the opportunity to meet with members of Congress.
Sponsors of the contest will be recognized at the annual IPO Annual Meeting, held this year in New York City on September 11-13, and will also be invited to attend the Foundation Awards Dinner in December. Other sponsors include Microsoft, Intel and Intellectual Ventures.
