July 9, 2013, Washington D.C.-Lawyers of Color (LOC) recently selected 100 early- to mid-career minority attorneys under 40 from the Mid-Atlantic Region to its inaugural Hot List. Harness Dickey is very pleased to announce that, attorney John H. Ambrose, has been named to this exceptional group.
Lawyers of Color, which was founded as On Being A Black Lawyer, has been recognized by the American Bar Association, National Black Law Students Association, and National Association of Black Journalists. Founded in 2008 as a news and resource center, the company has grown into a social media firm providing research, career development, and brand marketing opportunities to clients.
John’s practice involves preparing and prosecuting domestic, international and PCT patent applications in the electrical, computer, and electro-mechanical fields including telecommunication systems, data storage structures, semiconductor devices and integrated circuits. John obtained his J.D. from College of William and Mary and his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia.
The honorees were chosen through a two-pronged process where a selection committee spent months reviewing nominations and researching bar publications and legal blogs in order to identify promising candidates. Nominations were also accepted from mentors, peers, and colleagues. We also made editorial picks based on our research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments or were active in legal pipeline initiatives.
