IP Stars – Top 250 Women in IP, Managing Intellectual Property, 2014

October 10, 2014 – Harness Dickey is pleased to announce that Lisabeth H. Coakley has been selected to the second annual “IP Stars – Top 250 Women in IP” list published by Managing Intellectual Property that identifies the leading female Intellectual Property attorneys in the United States. The research for the book is based on over 1,000 interviews and surveys by partners and law firms across the United States. The women recognized represent those receiving the strongest feedback both in volume and enthusiasm.

Lisabeth (Beth) specializes in trademark matters with over 30 years of combined experience as in-house and outside counsel. She works closely with clients to develop customized worldwide strategies to achieve their business objectives in branding, and prosecutes, enforces, licenses, and maintains some of the world’s most famous trademarks in over 120 countries through the firm’s global network of foreign associates. She has extensive prosecution and administrative litigation experience before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and has first-chaired several civil jury trials.

Beth has been with Harness Dickey for over 20 years and has observed that women in-house counsel and business women are now seeking out Harness Dickey as preferred IP counsel due in part to its diverse and highly talented female professionals and the endless opportunities for women to engage in every aspect of intellectual property. During her time at the firm, she has earned several honors including: Best Lawyers in America, Best Lawyer of the Year- Trademark Law, Michigan Super Lawyers Intellectual Property, and DBusiness Magazine Top Lawyer Intellectual Property.

She is actively involved in the American Red Cross, and works with Detroit Goodfellows. She has also been active in her neighborhood association, where she has served as past president.
