Daniel’s practice is dedicated to forming a mutual partnership with his clients based on championing their latest innovations. He works closely with inventors and in-house counsel to understand each new technology, the solutions it brings to market, and how it fits within a larger business plan. He then applies his engineering background and sharp eye for detail to pinpoint the novel aspects of each invention and develop a strategy to obtain thorough patent protection.
Daniel’s clients benefit from his previous experience in challenging patents owned by non-practicing entities. His expertise in evaluating patents and knowing their most common flaws allows him to draft stronger claims that avoid risks and deter competitors.

- Daniel has experience with various technology fields, including biomaterials, electronic materials, drug delivery systems, semiconductors and organic semiconductors, cyber and data security, and internet of things technologies.
- Before attending law school, Daniel worked at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology as a Sensing Agent working on display, memory, and telecommunications technologies.
- He also previously worked as a Lab Researcher for Stanford University, where he tested materials and devices for use in organic semiconductor research.
- Aside from handling patent matters, Daniel also has experience in trademark law as well as fair use laws concerning copyrights.

Daniel believes in ongoing, self-motivated learning as the best way to stay current with his clients’ innovations and the business world at large. To that end, he has completed a certification in artificial intelligence and business strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
When he is not drafting or prosecuting patent applications, Daniel is learning all he can about the latest news in robotics, biomimetics, and prosthetics. Daniel also holds a second degree black belt in Taekwondo, is an avid theater enthusiast, and once worked as a Stage Technician and Designer in Sunnyvale, California.
