Robert delivers years of experience to clients who need to protect their technology in a number of industries.  Having worked in both telecommunications and oil and gas for a combined twenty years, Robert understands the high stakes of innovation and knows how to prosecute patents to maximize their business potential.  His expert insight into intellectual property serves clients both in the U.S. and abroad, and also includes counsel for litigation and IP transactions.

Robert’s extensive background in engineering gives him a unique knowledge of technology sectors that include business methods; advanced computer networks and hardware; consumer products; energy exploration on land and water, including clean and green technology; and wireless communications.  Clients and colleagues appreciate his ability to translate technical information into sound business advice while building a secure patent portfolio.

Prior to joining Harness Dickey, Robert practiced intellectual property law at firms in Boston and Houston.  Before then, as an engineer with a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, he worked all over the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, gaining invaluable experience across several industries and legal systems.  His passion for expertise is now focused on delivering the highest level of success to his clients around the globe.
