Roland A. Fuller, III (Ron)

Principal / Detroit Metro Office

Ron has been practicing intellectual property and technology law for more than three decades. He advises on a broad range of substantive legal disciplines, such as creating and maintaining valuable IP portfolios and negotiating and closing the full spectrum of IP transactions, including the analysis of IP related assets involved in a merger or acquisition. Ron counsels his clients regarding Internet, trade secret, copyright, software and dispute resolution matters. He prepares and prosecutes patents for a variety of electronic and mechanical inventions.

Ron’s goal is to understand the dynamics of each client’s organization as they relate to intellectual property. Whether his client is a large corporation with international IP assets and established policies and procedures, or an emerging company seeking critical and immediate solutions to ensure their market position, Ron knows first-hand how to navigate such challenges both internally and externally. Having served as in-house counsel himself, he offers an innate understanding of setting objectives and achieving results. Ron’s focus is on delivering a dynamic combination of sound business judgment and legal savvy.

Prior to joining Harness Dickey in 2001, Ron served as Senior Staff Counsel – Intellectual Property for Chrysler. He also worked in private practice for two large general practice law firms.
