Harness Dickey is continuously cultivating diversity. We are committed to fostering and maintaining an inclusive culture where color, age, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, marital and family status are understood, respected, valued and accepted. Our leadership seeks to hire, retain and promote minority and female attorneys and staff. We develop and maintain a workforce that reflects the diversity of our employees, clients and the communities in which we live and work.
Our commitment to diversity makes us a stronger law firm. Diversity begins with providing a work environment that welcomes, supports and provides opportunities for personal and professional development for employees. Our workforce and clients benefit most when diversity thrives, so we encourage the unique perspectives of all team members.
We are actively involved in organizations that promote and support diversity. A sampling of organizations in which we are involved, support and/or participate in and with include Managing IP, Top Women in IP; Korean-American Intellectual Property Bar Association; Lawyers of Color; Women’s Lawyers Association; Korea Semiconductor Industry Association; Museum for Black Innovation and Entrepreneurship; National Asian Pacific American Bar Association; the Asian American Law Student Association; and the Babson Black Affinity Conference. We sponsor women focused programs for the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Intellectual Property Owners Association. We also support the Marie L. Nash Memorial Scholarship Fund, which recognizes scholastic achievements of female graduate students in the School of Business Administration.
Our dedication to diversity is manifest in the variety of backgrounds of our professionals and business partners, as well as in our participation in the communities we serve. Our female attorneys and those with diverse ethnic backgrounds have received awards for their work in various related organizations and activities. Our Firm fully supports these efforts by making the necessary time and resources available to ensure their success.
Our Diversity Committee seeks out opportunities to promote a supportive and inclusive environment for attorneys and staff. The Diversity Committee strives to set new benchmarks for expanding cultural norms and perceptions. With a focus on action, the Diversity Committee ensures the development of a continued roadmap of supportive initiatives that encourage distinction in everything we do.
