Ravi K. Sinha
Associate / Detroit Metro Office
Ravi knows patents inside and out. He previously worked as an Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he scrutinized patent claims from some of the largest software companies in the world. His experience at the USPTO has given him a keen understanding of the patent prosecution process and knowledge of the laws as they are applied by current Examiners. His clients appreciate his exceptional grasp of the USPTO system and the expertise he brings to protecting their assets when the stakes are high.
While earning his degree in Computer Engineering, Ravi gained crucial insight into several complex areas of innovation, including: compilers, programming languages, debugging, integrated development environments, mobile technology and virtual machines. His experience with object oriented software design further helped him create a mobile app that analyzed raw inferred spectroscopy data in real-time. From driving this innovation himself, Ravi knows what clients can expect to see — and what they need to succeed.
As a member of the Blue Mountain Antique Gas and Steam Engine Association, Ravi collects and restores antique “Hit and Miss” engines from the turn of the century. His passion for these antiques inspires his commitment to working with engineers and scientists, counseling clients on the best business practices for their technology, and building IP portfolios that could last a century.
